MISSION STATEMENT
Provide young, female members
of First Baptist Church, who are in grades 5 through12, with
experiences based on the rich cultural, religious, and philosophical
patterns of their race and religion. The patterns will provide models
from which these young women may draw examples to:
Enrich their lives
Enhance their sense of self
Solve their problems
Pattern their aspirations
Model their thinking
Determine a life direction
Make appropriate decisions
Choose behavior patterns
Live a Christian life
GOALS
To develop:
Young women who will learn how giving and helping others enriches their
lives and helps to place their own problems in perspective.
Young women who will learn to use appropriate responses to conflict,
face their feelings, understand their needs, and set life goals.
Young women who will learn to take responsibility for their own lives
and develop the skills necessary to take on leadership roles in
church, at home, in school, and in their personal lives
Young women who can build upon their strengths and overcome their (or
put in perspective) limitations or weaknesses.
