  • Free Blood Glucose Testing! - Sunday, February 5, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. in the Multipurpose room. Take the test to screen for diabetes and pre-diabetes. For most accurate results, do not eat or drink anything other than water for at least 8 hours prior to testing! (But please take any prescribed medications as usual.) Blood pressure screening will also be available.

  • Annual Senior and Retiree Sweetheart Luncheon - The Amanda Johnson/John C. Boyd Missionary Ministry will host its 18th sweetheart luncheon on Saturday, February 11, 2012. The Missionary ministry is seeking to identify all members who have retired since February 2011. All new retiress will be recognized and honored at the luncheon.   • International Connections Ministry Day - Sunday, February, 19 2012 at both the 7:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. We are blessed to have such a rich and diverse member population at First Baptist Church of Vienna! This year’s theme is “Celebrating Our Connections through Faith and Service.” The Ministry’s “Cultural Sharing Moment” will focus on Haiti and the Republics of Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago. We encourage you all to join us during this celebration as we join together as a people of faith to share experiences from around the world—all toward advancing the kingdom of God. Come one, come all and join us on that day as we celebrate our connections and diversity!

  • Class on Church History will start on February 23, 2012 - The Vienna and Vicinity Evans-Smith Leadership Training program will conduct a class on Church Histroy. The six-week class will start on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 7 p.m. There is a one-time registration fee of $50 for new students, plus $85 for the class and $10 for the textbook. You may secure a registration form in the church office.

  • Church Wide Prayer Vigil - Friday, February 24, 2012 - You are invited to join us in a fervent call to prayer for each ministry in the church, for our Pastor and Assistant Pastor, Youth Minister, Associate Ministers, church officers and staff. We will also pray for the fulfillment of God's will everywhere, in evrything and in everyone. There will be opportunity for silent prayers over individual needs and concerns.   • Fairfax Central Baptist Sunday School Unions Oratorical Event - Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Centreville, VA - March 24, 2012. Theme: "Living Clean in a Dirty World" - James 4:7. Participants must be identified by February 19, 2012 to allow time for speeches to be written and to allow time to practice speech delivery.   • Feed the Homeless - Every first Saturday of the month we meet at the church at 8:30 a.m., prepare bagged lunches, pray for the journey, and bus to DC to serve food and reflect Christ's compassion.   • Youth Leadership Second Sundays - We are looking for volunteers for Second Sundays. Parents, please volunteer your child(ren) or teen(s) for: Worship Leader, Scripture Reader, Responsive Reader, Offertory Assistant (Hold Basket), Offertory Prayer, Acknowledge Guest, Meditation Prayer. We are also searching for youth to display their talents and gifts for the glory of God and for the encouragement of the saints through Youth Spotlight. If your child or teen would like to do a poem gospel rap, solo (vocal/instrument), dance, etc., please contact Rev. Maxwell as soon as possible. We need to know what they will do and have a copy of material for approval. Please sign up in advance. Let Rev. Maxwell know which service (7:45 a.m. or 11 a.m.)
