You can choose to participate in one or both of the challenges, but every participant will have the opportunity to receive:

  • Before and after pictures
  • Body composition assessments: a baseline glucose, a blood pressure, BMI, and waist measurement at the Faith & Fitness expo.
  • Ongoing email support, coaching from FBCV trainers, as well as nutrition and exercise classes

If you need to drop a few (or many) pounds to be fit for Christ, the Biggest Loser Challenge is for you! It is based on the percentage of weight lost over an eight-week period, and can be managed however you like. A one– to two pound weight loss per week is considered healthy and sustainable. Rules and Regulations:

  • Challenges begin July 6th
  • Complete and sign the registration and liability form (either challenge)
  • By joining a Challenge, you are certifying that you are physically and mentally capable of participating. You may join one or both challenges.
  • You may sign up any time during the 8 weeks for the Live Well Challenge, but the longer you wait, the less time you have to make progress! You do not need to weigh-in if you plan to participate in the Live Well Challenge only.
  • Participants in the Biggest Loser Challenge can log in their initial weight on June 29, but no later than Sunday, July 6, 2014.
  • Participants in the Biggest Loser Challenge must complete a minimum of 6 additional weigh-ins excluding the kick-off weigh-in (6 additional weigh-ins can include the final weigh-in).
  • Winning in the Biggest Loser Challenge will be based on the percentage of weight lost.
  • Winning in the Live Well Challenge will be based on the accumulation of points available to be earned each week.
